Designer (Mechanical)
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer with 0–3 years of experience (Freshers are welcome to apply). The candidate will support the design and development of sheet metal components, press tools, welding fixtures, and production drawings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in product design and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Assist in designing sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Create manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation.
- Support the development of press tools, simple dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
- Modify existing designs based on engineering changes and production feedback.
- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Maintain engineering drawings and revision records.
- Follow company design standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Assist senior designers in new product development and continuous improvement projects.
- Resolve basic design-related issues during production.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal Design.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as bending, cutting, welding, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Experience & Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers or candidates with 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is mandatory.
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or tooling design will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of press tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
- Familiarity with BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Understanding of ISO quality standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing drawings and GD&T is preferred.
Reporting To
Head – Design Department
Pay: ₹16,601.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
