We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for our PCB manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, electronic components, chemicals, consumables, machinery spare parts, and services while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials, chemicals, laminates, copper foils, solder masks, inks, electronic components, and consumables required for PCB manufacturing.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
- Generate purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up for material deliveries.
- Coordinate with production, planning, stores, quality, and finance teams to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Handle import procurement activities, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service parameters.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through vendor development and alternate sourcing strategies.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery delays, and discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the PCB manufacturing or electronics industry.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing materials, processes, and supply chains will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of import/export procedures and logistics coordination.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
