Job Type: Full-Time
About Us: For over seven decades, Diamond Lighting has been illuminating spaces across the nation. We have stood the test of time by continuously evolving: transitioning from manufacturing traditional chokes and starters for tube lights, to pioneering high-efficiency LED systems, and now engineering cutting-edge, smart-home compatible lighting ecosystems. As we scale our operations and transition toward developing proprietary product lines, we are seeking a hands-on Electronics Engineer to lead our bench diagnostics, component repair, quality control, and new product development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research, Development & New Technologies
● Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging smart lighting protocols (e.g., Matter over Thread, Zigbee 3.0, DALI-2, 0-10V, Phase Dimming) and smart control modules.
● Prototyping & IP Development: Assist in testing, prototyping, and developing proprietary lighting fixtures, housing designs, custom PCB layouts, and driver integrations.
● Competitor Teardowns & Benchmarking: Perform reverse-engineering teardowns on OEM/competitor products to evaluate heatsink performance, optical efficiency, driver topologies, and build quality.
2. Component-Level Bench Repair & Diagnostics
● Perform deep technical diagnostics and bench repairs on returned, damaged, or defective fixtures, LED boards, and electronic power supplies (drivers).
● Execute precision soldering, desoldering, component replacements, thermal compound re-application, and wire harness repairs.
● Maintain a detailed Failure Analysis Log to identify defect trends across product lines and factory batches.
3. Quality Control (QC) & Inbound Batch Testing
● Establish and execute QC inspection protocols for inbound shipments from overseas manufacturing partners.
● Test driver power factor, voltage stability, thermal dissipation, color consistency, and flicker rates using lab testing equipment.
● Isolate defective factory batches prior to inventory distribution to retail showrooms and e-commerce fulfillment.
4. Technical Documentation & Lab Management
● Draft accurate wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and technical specification sheets for commercial contractors and installers.
● Maintain the internal hardware laboratory, keeping diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, bench power supplies) calibrated and organized.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
● Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication (ECE), or Mechatronics (Mandatory).
● Circuit Diagnostics: Proven hands-on experience in AC/DC power electronics, PCB troubleshooting, and component testing.
● Soldering & Lab Skills: Proficiency in fine-pitch soldering, wire stripping, multimeter usage, and reading circuit schematics.
● Lighting & Smart Protocols: Familiarity with LED driver architectures, constant current vs. constant voltage systems, and wireless smart home protocols (Zigbee, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread) is a strong advantage.
● Problem-Solving Mindset: A methodical, analytical approach to root-cause analysis and hardware engineering.
What We Offer
● Fixed monthly salary tailored to technical capabilities and qualifications (INR 17,500-25,000) + performance-based bonuses.
● Dedicated working space.
