Job Summary
Sea Blue Ship Yard is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join our shipbuilding team. The selected candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret piping isometric, fabrication, and engineering drawings.
- Measure, cut, bevel, align, and fit pipes according to project specifications.
- Install pipes, valves, flanges, fittings, and pipe supports.
- Prepare piping for welding by ensuring proper fit-up and alignment.
- Assist with hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure test preparations.
- Install and route piping systems onboard vessels and within fabrication workshops.
- Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and quality personnel to complete assigned work.
- Follow company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Report material shortages, quality concerns, and safety issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- ITI or Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or a related trade.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Pipe Fitter.
- Experience in shipbuilding, offshore, marine, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometric and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication and installation techniques.
- Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel piping.
- Familiarity with valves, flanges, gaskets, supports, and pipe fittings.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
- Understanding of workplace safety and quality standards.

- Good problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
