We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of enterprise applications through comprehensive manual testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel, along with a strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role involves analyzing business requirements, designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, validating fixes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Analyse business, functional, and technical requirements to understand application behaviour and testing scope.
Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Identify, document, prioritise, and track software defects using Jira.
Perform re-testing and regression testing to validate defect fixes and ensure application stability.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, test evidence, and knowledge repositories in Confluence.
Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards using Microsoft Excel.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in Agile environments.
Ensure adherence to testing standards, QA processes, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support release validation activities and provide quality sign-off for production deployments.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and overall product quality.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
3–6 years of experience in Manual Testing of enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, and quality assurance principles.
Experience in preparing test cases, executing manual test cycles, and reporting defects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
