Skill requirements:
Ability to Independently work and complete the assignment.
Knowledge of ASME Section IX, ASME Sec II C, Section VIII Div. 1,2, EN standards, ISO 3834
Exposure to Aerospace/ Defense/ Nuclear products & specifications
Should have lead a team of welding engineers
Interaction with customers/ Third party surveyors for approval of documents
Hands on experience for SMAW/ SAW/ FCAW/ SASC/ ESSC/GTAW welding & related issues
Should be well organized and disciplined
Job Responsibility:
Welder qualification, WPS preparation, PQR, troubleshooting of weld repair issues Represents WIL in various forums for the field of welding
Develops new procedure / techniques to: a) Improve quality b) Increase productivity c) Meet project / Product specifications
Interacts with customer / TPI for WPS/ PQR/ Consumable qualifications / welder qualifications
Handle Enquiries for new projects wrt. Welding consumable estimation.
Carry out Shop Repair Analysis, Problem Solving in shop, Welding Consumable Planning, Welding consumable batch qualification,
Repair procedures, Heat treatment cycle Preparation
