Team Lead – B2B Repair and refurbishment services of Consumer electronics products and smart devices. responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring timely and high-quality B2B repair and refurbishment services.
The role includes troubleshooting hardware and board-level issues, overseeing parts replacement, maintaining repair quality, managing spare parts, and ensuring proper workflow, reporting, and team performance.

Major Areas of Contribution:
1. Strategic Contribution:
1. Team Leadership Operations Management
- Lead, supervise, and support technicians engaged in diagnosis and repair, testing, and refurbishment of Consumer electronics products and smart devices.
- Allocate tasks, manage daily workflow, and ensure timely completion of repairs. Hourly daily output is most important.
- Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting methods, board-level repair techniques, and test procedures.
- Monitor team discipline, SOP adherence, attendance, and performance.
2. Repair Technical Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnosis of Consumer electronics products and smart devices including power issues, functional other issues, charging faults, overheating, and performance failures and embedded software related cases.
- Conduct testing, fault isolation, and verification of repair quality.
- Oversee component-level and part-level replacement and consumables usage. And control opex.
- Execute or supervise chipset- and board-level troubleshooting using schematics,multimeters, oscilloscopes, and BGA workstations.
- Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, parts used, and service logs.
2. Functional Contribution:
1. Spare Parts Management Procurement Coordination
- Review spare part requirements and ensure timely procurement of genuine or approved parts.
- Work with procurement teams/vendors to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Verify incoming parts for accuracy, compatibility, and quality.
- Track usage, wastage, and cost efficiency of parts.
2. Quality Control Reporting
- Ensure repairs meet company quality standards and customer satisfaction targets.
- Conduct final QC checks on completed units before dispatch.
- Maintain and update repair MIS, daily output reports, TAT reports, and parts
- consumption reports.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
3. Compliance Safety
- Enforce ESD safety practices and workplace discipline across the repair facility.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of repair and testing equipment.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, warranty guidelines, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Promote 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Success Indicators in First 6 Months
- Achieve targeted repair output and turnaround time (TAT) objectives.
- Improve repair productivity and technician utilization across the department.
- Reduce repeat failure rates and improve First-Time-Right (FTR) performance.
- Establish effective spare parts planning and inventory control mechanisms.
- Implement process improvements resulting in measurable cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Build a disciplined, high-performing repair operations team with strong adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in repair operations, refurbishment services, service centres, EMS, consumer electronics, smart devices, or industrial electronics.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading repair teams and operations.
- Strong exposure to board-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair processes, and quality systems.
- Strong analytical, operational, and people management skills.
