Senior Database Architect (15+ Years)
Looking for a Senior Database Architect with 15+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in database migration from on-premises to Microsoft Azure Cloud across multiple platforms.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesMust Have
- Hands-on experience in database migration from On-Premises to Cloud
- Expertise in:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Capacity planning and database scaling
- Define High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and recovery strategies
- Execute zero/low downtime migrations with data validation and reconciliation
- Handle schema conversion, dependency analysis, and compatibility fixes
- Optimize migrated systems for:
- Performance
- Scalability
- Cost
- Resolve issues related to:
- Performance degradation
- System instability
- Resource utilization
- Hands-on migration execution (not just architecture/design)
- Ability to manage complex multi-platform database migrations
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
- Collaborate with:
- Architecture teams
- DevOps teams
- Application teams
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale migration and modernization programs
Good to Have
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR)
- SSIS Integration Runtime (legacy migration)
- Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
- Cloud-native integration patterns
- Multi-cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- GitHub Actions / CI-CD pipeline experience
