Job Title Automation Engineer L2
Role Overview
Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting IT infrastructure automation solutions using configuration management and monitoring tools to improve efficiency, stability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage automation workflows using Ansible and SaltStack
Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring using BMC TrueSight Control-M
Automate routine infrastructure tasks provisioning, patching, configuration management
Troubleshoot and resolve automation and job failure issues L2 support
Optimize existing automation scripts and processes for performance and reliability
Integrate automation tools with cloud and on-prem infrastructure
Work with system, network, and application teams for automation requirements
Maintain documentation and provide support to L1 engineers
Required Skills
Strong experience in Ansible andor SaltStack
Good understanding of BMC TrueSight and Control-M
Knowledge of IT infrastructure LinuxWindows, networking basics
Experience in scripting Python, Shell, or similar
Understanding of job scheduling, monitoring, and automation frameworks
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in enterprise 247 support environments
Qualification
Bachelors degree in computer scienceIT or related field
Certification
Red Hat Ansible SaltStack BMC relevant certifications
