We are looking for a skilled and responsible Linux & Network Engineer to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure our Linux servers and network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and smooth operation of servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers such as Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, or CentOS.
- Manage Linux users, groups, permissions, services, packages, storage, and system configurations.
- Monitor server performance, resource utilization, availability, and system logs.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and switching.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, network security policies, and VPN connections.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, server access, SFTP, SSH, and other infrastructure-related issues.
- Perform server backup, restoration, patching, and routine maintenance.
- Manage SSH access and implement appropriate server security practices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating-system, network, and application connectivity issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, server details, and configuration records.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for infrastructure-related issues.
- Monitor and respond to infrastructure alerts and incidents.
- Assist with deployment and configuration of new servers, network devices, and IT infrastructure.
- Follow security, backup, and disaster-recovery procedures.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Linux administration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Hands-on knowledge of SSH, SFTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Linux command-line tools and shell scripting.
- Understanding of server security, user permissions, logs, and system services.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle IT infrastructure issues.
