Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead warehouse operations, strengthen business processes, drive operational excellence, and support organizational growth.
This is not a sales role. The position focuses on warehouse management, supply chain optimization, export operations, process improvement, inventory management, team leadership, and business expansion initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting the company's long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, quality inspection, sorting, grading, packing, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of fresh flowers and pooja products.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.
- Manage procurement coordination with farms, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability and uninterrupted supply chain operations.
- Plan, monitor, and optimize daily warehouse activities to achieve timely order fulfillment and export readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse supervisors and operational teams while fostering a high-performance work culture.
- Prepare workforce planning, performance reviews, and training programs to improve productivity and employee engagement.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices across warehouse and operational functions.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs, minimize wastage, and maximize resource utilization.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, packaging standards, and workflow processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee export documentation, shipping coordination, and logistics activities with freight forwarders, airlines, and transport partners.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve operational or logistics issues to ensure on-time international deliveries.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, including warehouse productivity, shipment performance, operational costs, and key business metrics.
- Analyze operational performance and recommend strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, quality assurance, logistics, HR, and senior management to achieve organizational objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers, freight partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Resolve operational challenges through root cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Support the organization's expansion plans by strengthening operational capabilities and implementing scalable business processes.
Required Qualifications
- MBA in Operations, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or Business Administration is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience needed.
- Proven experience leading warehouse teams and managing end-to-end operational functions.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control, export documentation, and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, warehouse management software, and business reporting tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the export of perishable goods or fresh flowers.
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
- Strong process improvement and operational excellence mindset.
- Experience in cost optimization, warehouse planning, and inventory management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills.
