We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Manufacturing to oversee and optimize our sheet metal and press shop operations. You will be responsible for leading the production teams, driving operational excellence, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, and scaling manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in press operations, tool room management, and automated sheet metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management & Operational Excellence
- Lead and manage end-to-end plant operations for the press shop and sheet metal.
- Optimize production planning, scheduling, and capacity utilization to meet delivery timelines.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce cycle times.
- Oversee stamping, welding processes.
2. Engineering & Tool Room Oversight
- Supervise the maintenance and troubleshooting of progressive dies, stage tools, and hydraulic/mechanical press machines (ranging from low to high tonnage).
- Collaborate with the design/R&D team for New Product Development (NPD) and new tool trials (T1/T2).
- Ensure robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize machine downtime.
3. Quality Assurance & Cost Control
- Maintain zero-defect manufacturing standards, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems.
- Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), scrap rates, and material variance.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through process automation and value engineering.
4. Leadership & People Management
- Manage, mentor, and upscale a team of production engineers, supervisors, and operators.
- Foster a culture of safety.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify skill gaps to implement training programs.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
