Job Summary
AGSRT is looking for a proactive and target-oriented Business Development Executive to generate business opportunities for GIS training, corporate training, geospatial services, consulting, and technology-led solutions.
The role primarily involves outbound calling, client outreach, field meetings, lead qualification, follow-up, meeting scheduling, proposal coordination, and moving opportunities through the sales pipeline. Technical demos and solution discussions will be supported by AGSRT’s technical and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads through calls, emails, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, field visits, and other outreach channels.
- Identify potential clients across companies, colleges, universities, government-linked organizations, NGOs, infrastructure, agriculture, consulting, and research sectors.
- Qualify leads based on requirements, urgency, budget, decision-making authority, and business fit.
- Schedule counselling calls, client meetings, institutional visits, presentations, and technical demos.
- Understand client requirements and coordinate with the technical, training, admissions, marketing, project, and management teams.
- Promote GIS training, corporate training, GIS outsourcing, remote sensing, Web GIS, Digital Twin, BIM-GIS, AgriTwin, consulting, and other AGSRT/MPPL solutions.
- Share proposals, quotations, brochures, company profiles, course details, and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate technical discussions with Vijay, Abhik, Midhun, or the relevant technical team.
- Coordinate admissions-related leads with Manasa/Harshini and project leads with the technical/project team.
- Maintain regular follow-up until closure, rejection, or future nurturing.
- Update the CRM or lead tracker daily with call status, meeting details, next follow-up date, proposal stage, and conversion status.
- Track market opportunities, competitors, and client requirements in the GIS and geospatial sector.
- Submit daily and weekly reports on calls, leads, meetings, proposals, follow-ups, lost leads, and closures.
Required Skills
- Experience in business development, outbound sales, field sales, lead generation, or client acquisition.
- Strong English communication skills; Kannada, Hindi, or other regional languages are an advantage.
- Confidence in communicating with corporate clients, institutions, government-linked organizations, and decision-makers.
- Strong calling, follow-up, meeting scheduling, negotiation, and pipeline-management skills.
- Willingness to travel for meetings and field visits.
- Ability to understand technical services and explain them in simple business language.
- Good email, WhatsApp, CRM, Google Sheets, Excel, and sales-reporting skills.
- Target-oriented, disciplined, persistent, punctual, and accountable.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in GIS, geospatial, IT services, SaaS, edtech, consulting, corporate training, institutional sales, or technical sales.
- Exposure to B2B, government, NGO, project-based, or professional-course sales.
- Basic awareness of GIS, remote sensing, ArcGIS, QGIS, Web GIS, mapping, Digital Twin, or location-based technologies.
- Experience supporting proposals, quotations, commercial discussions, and sales closure.

Monthly Performance Expectations
Minimum Target:
- 150–200 outreach attempts
- 40–60 qualified conversations
- 12–15 client meetings, counselling calls, or demos
- 5–8 proposal or quotation movements
- Daily CRM and follow-up updates
Stretch Target:
- 250+ outreach attempts
- 75+ qualified conversations
- 20+ meetings or demos
- 10+ proposal movements
- 3–5 serious revenue opportunities
Reporting Requirements
The selected candidate must maintain and submit daily call reports, lead-tracker updates, meeting summaries, proposal status, next follow-up plans, weekly pipeline reports, and lost-lead reasons.
Success in This Role
Success means consistently generating qualified leads, scheduling meetings, moving opportunities to the demo or proposal stage, coordinating with internal teams, and contributing to revenue growth.
