Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood grouping, cross-matching, compatibility testing, and transfusion-related investigations.
- Collect, process, label, and store blood and blood components as per standard protocols.
- Ensure proper screening of donor blood for transfusion-transmitted infections (TTIs).
- Maintain adequate inventory of blood units and blood components.
- Monitor storage equipment and maintain temperature logs of refrigerators, freezers, and platelet incubators.
- Issue blood and blood components as per physician requests and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to donors, blood units, testing, and transfusions.
- Ensure adherence to NABH, NACO, and Drug & Cosmetic Act guidelines.
- Follow infection control practices, biomedical waste management, and safety protocols.
- Participate in internal quality control programs and external quality assurance activities.
- Report equipment malfunction, adverse transfusion reactions, and discrepancies to the Blood Bank In-charge.
- Assist during voluntary blood donation camps and donor counseling activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of blood bank equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor and patient information at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Blood Bank In-charge or hospital management.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
