Data Architect Pan India · Full Time · Hybrid
About the Role The Data Architect is responsible for designing federated computational governance, setting rules, standards, and interoperability Full Times for data products to compose into a coherent mesh. This role focuses on framework setting rather than central modeling. The goal is to enable independently-owned data products to work together seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement dimensional, Data Vault 2.0, anchor modeling, and semantic/ontology modeling.
- Develop mesh architecture through bounded-context decomposition, domain identification, and distinguishing between Foundational and Derivative products.
- Implement interoperability standards, including global identifier strategy, universal time/geo dimensions, and shared semantic layer.
- Establish governance frameworks using DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, DataOps maturity, data product taxonomy, and stewardship operating model.
- Ensure privacy and regulatory compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI.
- Develop reference architecture for lakehouse, medallion vs. data product topology, event-driven architecture, and CDC patterns.
- Design AI architecture with governed RAG, agentic data access patterns, knowledge graphs, and AI-ready semantic layers.
- Define "what makes a data product fit-for-purpose" and author federated policy-as-code for the platform.
- Ratify decision rights split between central and domain teams.
Requirements
- Modeling skills in dimensional, Data Vault 2.0, anchor modeling, and semantic/ontology modeling.
- Experience with mesh architecture, bounded-context decomposition, and domain identification.
- Knowledge of interoperability standards, including global identifier strategy and shared semantic layer.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks such as DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, and DataOps maturity.
- Understanding of privacy and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI.
- Experience with reference architecture, including lakehouse, medallion vs. data product topology, and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of AI architecture, including governed RAG, agentic data access patterns, and knowledge graphs.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on a hybrid model, combining on-site and remote work.
- Chance to work with a variety of technologies and frameworks, including Cube, dbt Semantic Layer, and AtScale.
