Job Description & Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Solar Installation Technician, you will handle the physical installation of residential and commercial solar arrays. You will work in team crews to deliver safe, compliant, and highly efficient solar builds across Bhubaneswar and surrounding areas.
- Structural Installation: Layout, assemble, and structurally mount solar racking, modules, and hardware on concrete roofs, metal roofs, and ground mounts.
- Electrical Integration: Assist with DC/AC electrical wiring, conduit laying, and connecting solar modules to inverters and the main net-metering grid.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct system testing, verify voltage, and troubleshoot technical issues before final inspection.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to site safety guidelines, electrical codes, and company safety standards.
- Customer Service: Clean up jobsites daily and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with property owners.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI in Electrical, Wireman, or Electronics trade (Highly Preferred).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in solar installation, electrical work, or roofing construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and digital multimeters.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 25 kg, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights in outdoor weather conditions.
- License: Valid Two-Wheeler or Four-Wheeler Driver’s License (Required for site travel).
Ability to Commute/Relocate
- Puri, Anugul and Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
