Job Title: Deputy General Manager – OperationsJob Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager – Operations to lead end-to-end operations for commercial interior fit-out and turnkey projects. The role involves overseeing project execution, operations management, profitability, quality, client satisfaction, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, business acumen, and operational excellence with experience managing large teams and multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall city/region operations while achieving business objectives and operational targets.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of commercial interior fit-out and turnkey projects.
- Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage project profitability, budgeting, cost control, and overall P&L performance.
- Plan manpower, resource allocation, vendor deployment, and project schedules.
- Conduct regular project review meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with sales, procurement, finance, design, legal, HR, and project teams.
- Develop and implement operational processes, SOPs, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement project management tools and technologies to improve operational effectiveness.
- Monitor procurement, inventory management, warehousing, billing, and payment realization.
- Ensure timely documentation, reporting, MIS preparation, and project updates for management.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and operational excellence.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Recruit, mentor, train, and develop high-performing operations and project teams.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective project management and service delivery.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations, Project Management, Business Management, or Finance will be an added advantage.
- Candidates from premier institutes will be preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 10–18 years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Construction, Interior Fit-Out, or Turnkey Project Execution.
- Proven experience in managing multiple large-scale commercial interior projects.
- Prior experience in operations leadership, project delivery, and P&L management is essential.
