Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior SAP Basis Consultant with 15+ years of experience in managing large and complex SAP landscapes such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and SAP BTP. The candidate should have strong skills in SAP technical administration, along with good knowledge of security, networking, and cloud/hyperscaler platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead SAP Basis operations, administration, and performance management across SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, BTP, etc.).

Manage installation, upgrades, migrations, system copies, and patching activities.

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and system performance tuning.

Administer SAP security concepts: roles, authorizations, and compliance requirements (GRC/GXP knowledge preferred).

Collaborate with networking and infrastructure teams to ensure secure connectivity, load balancing, and firewall compliance.

Oversee database administration activities (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) in coordination with DBAs.
-
Implement monitoring and alerting for proactive issue resolution (CCMS, Solution Manager, RunMyJobs/Control-M).

Coordinate with hyperscaler/cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) for infrastructure, backup, and network-related activities.

Contribute to IT audits, compliance checks, and security hardening activities.

Guide junior Basis consultants and provide technical leadership.
Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

15+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in large, multi-system landscapes.

Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, HANA DB administration, and upgrades/migrations.

Hands-on experience with system copies, client strategy, and performance optimization.

In-depth knowledge of SAP security concepts (authorizations, roles, GRC).

Good understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPN, load balancers, DNS, SSL, certificates).

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hyperscaler-hosted SAP environments.

Familiarity with OS administration (Linux, Windows, Unix) and scripting for automation.

Strong troubleshooting skills for SAP kernel, transport management, and RFC/communication issues.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead technical teams.
Nice to Have:

Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, and Integration Suite.

Knowledge of ITIL processes and SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run.

Exposure to security audits (SOX, GDPR, GXP compliance).
-
Prior experience in Managed Services or large transformation projects.
