Accounts Assistant – Roles & Responsibilities
An Accounts Assistant supports the finance department by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth financial operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain records
- Support GST filing, TDS, and other statutory compliance (as applicable)
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Coordinate with vendors and clients for payment follow-ups
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial data
- Assist during audits by providing necessary documents and information
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
