Overview
We are a leading manufacturer of [Testing Equipment, e.g., NDT equipment, Compression Testing
Machine, Humidity Chamber, Hot Air Oven, Civil Testing, Aggregate Testing Equipment etc catering
to various industries and institutes.
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Marketing Engineer to bridge the gap between our
sophisticated testing solutions and our clients. This role is highly field-oriented and requires a blend
of deep technical application knowledge, marketing and sales skills, and a commitment to frequent
customer site visits to develop and secure new business.
Key Responsibility Field Sales & Customer Engagement (Primary Focus)
Technical Site Visits: Conduct frequent, planned field visits across the assigned territory
([Specify Travel Percentage, e.g., 50-50% travel required]) to meet with R&D Managers,
Quality Control Engineers, and Procurement teams.
Hands-On Demonstrations: Transport, set up, and expertly demonstrate the capabilities of
our testing equipment at customer facilities and in-house demonstration centres, handling
technical Q&A on the spot.
Consultative Selling: Act as a technical consultant, thoroughly understanding the customer's
specific testing requirements including compliance standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key
technical decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
Opportunity Closure: Manage the technical sales pipeline from initial contact through to
closing, negotiating complex technical quotations and sales terms.Marketing & Business Development
Market Feedback: Systematically collect, analyze, and report on field-based market
intelligence, including competitive product analysis and emerging customer testing
requirements, to inform the company’s product roadmap.
Technical Content: Develop field-ready technical sales tools, presentations, and application
notes.
Trade Show Representation: Actively participate and represent the company at regional and
national industry trade shows, exhibitions, and technical workshops.
Solution Engineering & Documentation
Proposal Generation: Prepare detailed, technically accurate, and commercially sound
quotations, proposals, and tender responses, outlining equipment specifications,
performance guarantees, and delivery timelines.
Technical Handoff: Ensure seamless communication between the customer's technical team
and our internal engineering and service departments for successful equipment installation
and commissioning.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduates / Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or
Instrumentation).
Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in technical field sales with a strong preference
for testing and laboratory equipment
Field Readiness: Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively and
independently. Experience managing a sales territory is essential.
Communication & Presentation: Exceptional ability to deliver persuasive technical
presentations and communicate complex solutions effectively to both technical and
executive targeted customers.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
