We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Hyderabad operations and drive business growth.
Position Summary
The Lead Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the travel agency, managing sales and business development activities, building and leading a high-performing team, and ensuring excellent customer service standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in the travel and tourism industry, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Manage and supervise day-to-day travel agency operations.
- Ensure smooth execution of flight bookings, hotel reservations, visa processing, holiday packages, and related travel services.
- Establish and implement operational procedures and best practices.
- Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction levels.
- Handle escalations and resolve customer concerns effectively.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate and retail travel segments.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, airlines, hotels, and tourism service providers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Lead promotional campaigns and business expansion initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage the travel operations and sales team.
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster a positive and results-driven work environment.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to improve productivity and service quality.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Monitor operational budgets and control expenses.
- Ensure accurate reporting of sales, bookings, and financial performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare regular business performance reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the Travel & Tourism Industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of travel agency operations, ticketing, tour packages, visa services, and corporate travel management.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, and team management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with leading travel companies such as MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Yatra, EaseMyTrip, Thomas Cook, SOTC, Akbar Travels, or similar organizations will be considered a significant advantage.
- Existing network of corporate travel clients and industry contacts.
- Experience in establishing and scaling new travel business operations.
