Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Freight Broker to manage and coordinate freight shipments efficiently. The candidate will be responsible for connecting shippers with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight brokerage
- Connect with shippers and carriers to move freight efficiently
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers
- Book loads and ensure timely pickup and delivery
- Track shipments and resolve any transit issues
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate records in CRM or logistics software
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of freight market and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in US logistics or freight brokerage
- Familiarity with tools like CRM, TMS, or dispatch software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
