While our bioinformatics pipelines generate immense molecular insights, we need a deeply empathetic Genetic Counselor to translate this data into actionable, understandable, and ethically grounded guidance for our patients.

What You Will Do
- Clinical Counseling and Risk Assessment: Provide comprehensive pre test and post test genetic counseling for hereditary cancer syndromes and somatic tumor profiling.
- Genomic Translation: Clearly explain complex Next Generation Sequencing results, including pathogenic, benign, and VUS, in culturally sensitive and accessible language.
- Multidisciplinary Impact: Serve as a core member of KPCIRC Molecular Tumor Board, collaborating with oncologists and computational biologists to formulate targeted therapy plans.
- Patient Outreach and Conversion: Follow up on leads generated by telecallers, answering preliminary clinical queries to build trust and drive the conversion of new patients.
- Psychosocial and Ethical Support: Provide short term emotional support to families navigating a cancer diagnosis, facilitate cascade testing discussions, and navigate genetic data privacy.
- Research and Education: Consenting patients for genomics clinical trials, contributing to our clinico genomic AI databases, and collaborating with our educational arm, ISAGS.
What You Bring
- Education: Master degree in Genetic Counseling, Medical Genetics, or a closely related clinical genetics field.
- Experience: Two to five years of clinical experience as a Genetic Counselor. Dedicated experience in an oncology setting or precision medicine center is highly desirable.
- Certification: Board Certification or eligibility is strongly preferred.
- Technical Expertise: High proficiency in interpreting NGS reports and whole exome or genome sequencing. Familiarity with variant databases like ClinVar, gnomAD, and COSMIC.
- Availability: Must be immediately available to join our team in New Delhi.
