1. Direct Patient Care
- Vital Monitoring: Regularly recording body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assisting bedridden or recovering patients with bathing, mouth care, dressing, and feeding.
- Wound Care: Performing dressing changes and managing wound care using sterile techniques.
- Mobility: Helping patients change positions and assisting with basic rehabilitation or movement. [1, 2, 3, 4]
2. Clinical & Medical Support
- Medication Administration: Preparing and administering oral, topical, and intravenous medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Specimen Collection: Drawing blood, urine, and other samples, then labeling and sending them to the laboratory.
- Procedure Assistance: Helping doctors with medical examinations, clinical tests, and minor bedside procedures.
- Emergency Response: Recognizing sudden changes in a patient's condition and initiating emergency first-aid or resuscitation if necessary. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
3. Documentation & Ward Management
- Record Keeping: Meticulously documenting patient histories, treatment plans, and daily observations into the hospital's system.
- Shift Handover: Providing detailed, bed-to-bed reports to the incoming nursing shift to ensure seamless, continuous care.
- Inventory: Ensuring the ward is well-stocked with medical supplies, drugs, and prepared surgical equipment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
4. Patient Education & Communication
- Patient Advocacy: Answering questions and providing emotional support to both patients and their concerned family members.
- Discharge & Follow-Up: Educating patients on post-hospital care, medication schedules, and follow-up appointments.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Communicating critical patient updates to doctors, specialists, and the wider healthcare team
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
