Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales performance, managing store profitability, and leading the store team. The role focuses on achieving business objectives while maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, compliance, and a positive customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Performance
- Drive store sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve sales performance.
- Maximize store profitability through effective cost control and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute sales initiatives to increase customer footfall and conversions.
- Analyse sales reports and prepare action plans to improve business performance.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor Sales Consultants and store staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance, leave, and shift schedules.
- Foster a positive, motivated, and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure employees adhere to company policies, grooming standards, and code of conduct.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives a premium shopping experience.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalations promptly and professionally.
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvements.
Store Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and product presentation.
- Ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with the inventory team.
- Ensure accurate stock records and conduct periodic stock audits.
- Minimize inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, and stock losses.
- Ensure secure handling of high-value merchandise.
Financial & Compliance
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, banking, and billing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of retail experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or Store Manager role.
- Experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, or lifestyle retail is preferred.
