Position - Web Development Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Web Development Manager to lead website development, technical troubleshooting, deployments, integrations, and infrastructure across a range of client projects.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, an ownership mindset, and excellent English communication skills. The successful candidate will manage and support developers, communicate confidently with clients and internal teams, estimate work accurately, and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, customisation, and maintenance of WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, security, updates, and migrations.
- Manage content models and APIs using Sanity CMS.
- Build and optimise web applications using Next.js and React, with a focus on performance, usability, and integrations.
- Manage deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting on Vercel.
- Oversee hosting, server setup, website migrations, backups, and restoration processes.
- Manage domain names, DNS records, SSL certificates, and website security.
- Configure and troubleshoot Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 email infrastructure.
- Use Git and GitHub for version control, collaboration, and deployment workflows.
- Integrate CRMs, payment gateways, analytics platforms, and other third-party services through APIs and webhooks.
- Implement technical SEO best practices, including redirects, metadata, schema markup, and performance improvements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website, hosting, server, email, and integration-related issues.
- Estimate tasks, document technical solutions, manage priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Guide, review, and support junior developers.
- Communicate clearly with clients, project managers, and internal team members throughout each project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience in WordPress development, including theme customisation, plugin development, migrations, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Sanity CMS, including schemas, GROQ, APIs, and content management.
- Strong knowledge of Next.js, React, Vercel, and modern web development practices.
- Experience with hosting, servers, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, backups, and website migrations.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 email configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
- Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, CRMs, payment gateways, and analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO and website security.
- Experience using AI development tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple client projects.
Communication Requirement
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are mandatory.
The candidate must be confident communicating directly with clients, gathering requirements, explaining technical matters in simple language, providing clear updates, and professionally coordinating with developers and internal teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
