Executive Assistant to the Managing Director (MD)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and strategic Executive Assistant to the Managing Director (MD) to serve as a trusted partner to the MD. The ideal candidate will support executive decision-making, manage strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functional projects, and ensure the effective execution of organizational priorities. This role requires exceptional communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the MD's executive calendar, meetings, travel, and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate with department heads to track key initiatives and ensure timely execution of action plans.
- Prepare executive presentations, reports, dashboards, business reviews, and management information (MIS).
- Attend leadership meetings, record Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and monitor follow-up actions.
- Draft high-quality business correspondence, proposals, presentations, and official communications.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and prepare executive summaries to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor organizational KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports for the MD.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure alignment between departments.
- Handle confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
- Represent the MD during internal coordination and follow up with stakeholders on key deliverables.
- Support business planning, policy implementation, and organizational improvement initiatives.
- Perform other strategic assignments and executive responsibilities as delegated by the MD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, Project Coordinator, or in a similar executive support role.
- Experience in the education sector or a multi-unit organization is an added advantage.
