Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication & Machining Quality Supervisor to oversee quality assurance and control activities across fabrication and CNC machining operations. The role requires strong hands-on inspection experience, ability to interpret drawings, and coordination with production teams to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication Quality
- Inspect fabricated components (structures, frames, pedestals, assemblies) as per drawings and WPS.
- Ensure compliance with welding standards (visual inspection, fit-up, weld size, distortion control).
- Verify material traceability, heat numbers, and mill test certificates (MTC).
- Monitor dimensional accuracy, straightness, flatness, and alignment.
Machining Quality
- Inspect machined components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Verify CNC machining dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and GD&T requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections for turned and milled components.
Quality Systems & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, ITPs, QAPs, and final quality dossiers.
- Handle customer inspections, third-party inspections, and internal audits.
- Raise NCRs, support root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems.
Coordination & Improvement
- Work closely with production, planning, and stores teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement to reduce rework, rejection, and scrap.
- Guide and train junior inspectors and shop-floor teams on quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication & machining drawings.
- Hands-on experience with inspection instruments and gauges.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, tolerances, and machining processes.
- Experience in heavy fabrication and precision machining environments.
- Good communication skills and customer-facing inspection handling experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with large welded structures, machined assemblies, and OEM customers.
- Exposure to third-party inspection agencies (TPI).
- Familiarity with surface treatment inspections (shot blasting, painting).

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
