Job Summary
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team by managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating with internal departments, tracking orders, and ensuring smooth communication between customers and the organization. The role plays a vital part in achieving sales targets by providing efficient administrative and operational support throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer enquiries for LT Switchgear and Electrical Control Panels.
- Coordinate with the Estimation and Design teams for preparation of technical and commercial quotations.
- Prepare and issue quotations, proforma invoices, and sales-related documents.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotations, purchase orders, and approvals.
- Coordinate with customers for technical clarifications and documentation.
- Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, purchase orders, and sales activities.
- Update ERP/CRM systems with enquiry, quotation, and order details.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Dispatch, and Finance departments for timely order execution.
- Monitor order status and provide customers with regular updates on manufacturing and delivery schedules.
- Assist in tender submissions by compiling technical and commercial documents.
- Prepare sales reports, order status reports, pending quotation reports, and MIS reports.
- Support the sales team in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
- Handle customer correspondence professionally through email and telephone.
- Maintain customer databases and ensure all sales documentation is accurate and up to date.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Sales Coordinator, preferably in the LT Switchgear, Electrical Panel, or Industrial Equipment Manufacturing industry.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of LT Switchgear and Electrical Control Panels is preferred.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP/CRM software.
- Ability to prepare quotations, sales reports, and documentation.
- Good organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Knowledge
- Basic understanding of electrical panel products such as PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, Synchronizing Panels, AMF Panels, and Distribution Boards.
- Familiarity with tender documentation and order processing.
- Knowledge of commercial terms, GST, dispatch procedures, and invoicing.
