Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly in the export sector, and will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of export documentation, foreign exchange regulations, and GST compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Export Documentation: Manage and oversee all financial aspects of export transactions, including invoicing, export documentation, and foreign exchange regulations.
- GST Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST regulations, including filing returns, reconciling GST liabilities, and managing GST audits.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage relationships with banks to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits.
- Taxation: Handle all tax-related matters, including income tax, TDS, and other applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in an export firm or a related industry. Strong knowledge of export documentation, foreign exchange regulations, and GST compliance is essential.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA or equivalent certification is preferred.
