Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Quality Control professional to ensure that products, processes, and materials meet defined quality standards and customer requirements. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, testing, documentation, identifying quality issues, and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Ensure products comply with approved specifications, drawings, standards, and quality requirements.
- Perform routine quality checks and maintain inspection records.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports, checklists, and other relevant documents.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality procedures.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Participate in internal quality audits and process improvement activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies, SOPs, and applicable industry standards.
- Support customer complaints investigation and corrective action implementation.
- Promote a quality-focused culture across the organization.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Quality Control principles and inspection techniques.
- Understanding of 7 QC tools, root cause analysis, CAPA, and non-conformance handling.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings/specifications, where applicable.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation/reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Chemical, or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant certification in Quality Management / Quality Control will be an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Inspection, or a related manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience with quality documentation, inspection procedures, non-conformance analysis, and corrective actions is preferred.
