Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service Excellence:
- Greet guests warmly and promptly upon their arrival, offering them a warm welcome and escorting them to their tables.
- Provide menu information, explain daily specials, and assist with menu selections, offering suggestions to enhance the dining experience.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a personalized experience for each guest.
- Address guest concerns or complaints in a timely and effective manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Dining Room Support:
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room and common areas.
- Ensure tables are set appropriately with the necessary utensils, glassware, and napkins, paying attention to detail.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and drinks, ensuring the quality and presentation meet restaurant standards.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to accommodate new guests, maintaining the flow of service.
- Collaboration with Restaurant Team:
- Work in close coordination with the kitchen, bartenders, and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assist in the coordination of the guest flow, ensuring that tables are turned in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of service.
- Support servers, hosts, and other team members as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Food & Beverage Knowledge:
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including food and beverage offerings, preparation methods, and dietary considerations.
- Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure that guests are served their food and drinks promptly and correctly.
- Cleanliness & Hygiene:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all guest areas, including dining tables, floors, and restrooms.
- Ensure all dining equipment (glasses, silverware, etc.) is sanitized and ready for use.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in line with health and safety regulations.
- Team Support & Upselling:
- Actively engage with guests to promote restaurant specials, upsell premium menu items, and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of the restaurant during shift changes, ensuring smooth transitions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and tact.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and a passion for hospitality.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
