Role Overview & Core Responsibilities
- Agriwater Infrastructure & Construction Oversight:
- Monitor construction and installation of agricultural water systems (drip, sprinkler, canals, and pump stations) to match engineering designs.
- Ensure civil and hydraulic works comply with water conservation standards and environmental protection rules.
- Check soil water requirements, flow rates, pipe sizing, and drainage controls to prevent waterlogging on site.
- Training & Capacity Building:
- Design training programs for site engineers, construction workers, and local water user groups on system operation and maintenance.
- Create manuals, guides, and practical on-site workshops covering smart irrigation technology.
- Assess skills gaps and track the progress of operational teams transitioning into completed project sites.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Rural Development /Agronomy
- Experience: 8+ years working on water infrastructure construction, rural development, or sustainable agricultural projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hydraulic planning tools (AutoCAD, WaterCAD, GIS) and construction contract management.
- Soft Skills: Adult learning facilitation, cross-cultural communication, and on-site crisis management.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per year
