Position: Head - Scaling
Location: Mumbai
This is a full-time work-from-office role.
Purpose of the Role:
- To lead the strategic expansion of the education initiative to increase access to quality learning opportunities for children with intellectual disabilities across diverse geographies and systems.
- To build and strengthen partnerships with government bodies, schools, and key stakeholders to drive sustainable adoption and large-scale impact.
- To ensure effective and high-quality implementation by guiding cross-functional teams, optimising operational processes, and fostering a systems-change approach centred on the needs of children and their communities.
The Head - Scaling will manage a team through the direct line management of Senior Managers (programs), trainers, each responsible for leading a dedicated team, along with the cross-functional team across content & operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and own the multi-year scaling strategy aligned with organisational goals and funding.
- Identify scaling pathways — forge and manage partnerships with state and central education departments, NGOs, and academic institutions and tech-enabled platforms.
- Translate vision into actionable plans with clear milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
Program Management and Expansion
- Lead regional and national roll-outs by adapting the core model for diverse contexts while ensuring fidelity.
- Build and lead teams that can implement the initiative in new geographies.
- Monitor quality and impact of the program and ensure course correction where needed.
- Oversee execution and troubleshooting in multiple geographies.
- Track KPIs and report progress to leadership and funders
Partnerships & Advocacy
- Represent the initiative in key forums, working groups, and policy spaces to advocate for inclusive education for children with ID.
- Co-create scalable implementation models with government partners.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing cross-functional team (program, operations, content & training).
- Foster a culture of excellence, empathy, learning, and inclusion.
- Collaborate closely with product, content, and technology teams.
Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree desirable.
Experience:
- 12 - 15 years of experience in education, development, or public systems; at least 3–5 years in a leadership or scaling role
- Experience working with or a strong understanding of disability, inclusive education, or special education.
- Demonstrated experience scaling programs, especially through government or public systems
- Basic understanding of budgeting and financial reporting to assist in organisational planning

Any other specifications: The role requires extensive travel within India
Pay: ₹2,200,000.00 - ₹2,700,000.00 per year
