About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our MEP Design team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing HVAC systems for commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and institutional projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing HVAC designs, engineering calculations, technical documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and client requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Design
- Design HVAC systems including Chilled Water, VRF/VRV, DX, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Exhaust Systems.
- Perform cooling and heating load calculations using Carrier HAP or equivalent software.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, and detailed design drawings.
- Design and size ductwork, piping, diffusers, air terminals, and HVAC equipment.
- Develop energy-efficient and cost-effective HVAC solutions.
Engineering Coordination
- Coordinate HVAC designs with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting teams.
- Review architectural drawings and identify design constraints.
- Participate in technical review meetings and resolve design issues.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation
- Prepare HVAC design calculations and technical reports.
- Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, and material specifications.
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Software & Design Tools
- Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and review models using Revit MEP (preferred).
- Perform HVAC calculations using Carrier HAP/HAP software.
- Use MS Excel for engineering calculations and reporting.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with NBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, IS Codes, and other applicable standards.
- Support value engineering and optimize HVAC system performance.
- Deliver high-quality design documents within project timelines.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
- HVAC/MEP-related certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- 4–8 years of experience in HVAC Design for building construction projects.
- Experience in Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Healthcare, Hospitality, or Institutional projects.
- Prior experience in an MEP Consultancy or Building Services Design environment is preferred.
