Supports the Test Managers in the smooth and efficient running of the Testing Team

Coaches the team on best practice and supports the team in the execution of their role.

Deputises for Team Manager during periods of absence. Performs Test Analyst duties within Scrum Team.
Responsibilities
-
Supports the Test & Release Process on a daily basis regarding strategic Test and IT Release decisions and planning.

Analyses areas of weakness within the test team and works with the Test Managers to mitigate their risk

Deputises for Releases and act as a focal point for team concerns.

Performs Test Analyst activities and acts as a lead for Testers across the Scrum teams within the assigned domain.

Creates and documents test plans, scenarios and scripts for validation by Developers and Scrum Master.

Creates automation scripts for use in Regression testing.

Executes testing scripts in all IT environments, tracking and reporting progress in line with Test Team and Nielsen Brandbank IT guidelines.

Identifies new and existing defects / bugs and measures these in line with agreed metrics.

Reports on and works with Developers on solutions and remedial work.

Plays an active role in the welfare of the test team, supporting peers and colleagues when required and taking the lead in test team discussions.

Where appropriate, provide line management of a small team of Test Analysts, in line with organisation policies and processes, including, but not limited to, performance review/management, administration and coaching and mentoring
Qualifications
E - 3+ years of experience in a Test Analyst role and SDLC
E - Have experience of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
E - Have an up to date knowledge of test tools such as JIRA for Epic, Story and Defect classification, management and reporting.
E - Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
E - Prepared to lead by positive example and motivate and engage others within the test team.
E - Is a proactive and constructive member of the test team, taking ownership of resolving issues and risks
P - ISEB/ISTQB qualification or equivalent
P - Test Automation experience (Selenium)
P - In-depth knowledge of some or all of the Brandback application estate and processes
P - Experience of other roles in the Software Delivery Life Cycle
P - Willingness to travel internationally if required
