We are seeking a skilled Technician Mechanical to oversee and supervise all mechanical and operational aspects of our ice cream production facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial equipment, maintenance procedures, and process optimization, particularly in the food or dairy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems used in ice cream production.
- Ensure compliance with safety and food hygiene regulations while performing maintenance activities.
- Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, packaging machines, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of repairs performed.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment performance meets operational needs.
- Adhere to safety procedures and use protective equipment as required.
- Stay updated with the latest industry best practices and technological advancements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within a food processing or ice cream manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, pumps, and automated machinery..
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical control systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and plumbing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in all Kerala branches and flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.
