Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in QA and testing of web applications.
- Experience in testing 3D visualization, GIS, geospatial, or graphics-intensive applications preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to functional testing, API validation, and performance testing methodologies.
Requirements:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for interactive 3D web applications involving point clouds, meshes, 3D models, and geospatial datasets.
- Validate rendering accuracy, visual consistency, spatial correctness, and user interactions across 3D environments and visualization platforms.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing across web-based 3D applications.
- Test large-scale datasets including point clouds, 3D tiles, and spatial models for rendering behavior, loading performance, and stability.
- Validate application features such as measurement tools, annotations, layer controls, navigation systems, editing tools, and visualization workflows.
- Collaborate closely with developers, GIS teams, product managers, and domain experts to understand business requirements, technical workflows, and edge cases.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects with detailed reproduction steps, severity analysis, and impact assessment.
- Perform API testing and validate backend integrations using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent platforms.
- Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and consistent user experience.
- Contribute to automation initiatives for UI and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Validate application performance under varying loads and large spatial/3D datasets to identify rendering bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely QA deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality standards across projects.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, defect reports, test plans, and QA metrics.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially for visual, spatial, and rendering validations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and enterprise collaboration tools.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Defect detection effectiveness and reduction in production defects.
- Accuracy and quality of 3D visualization validation including geometry, rendering correctness, and spatial measurements.
- Test coverage across functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing scenarios.
- Performance validation metrics including rendering stability, load times, and responsiveness for large datasets.
- Timely completion of QA cycles aligned with sprint timelines and release schedules.
- Effectiveness of defect reporting, issue tracking, and turnaround time for defect resolution.
- Contribution to test automation, QA process optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Improvement in application stability, reliability, and end-user experience across 3D platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong experience in manual testing of web applications and enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to testing 3D visualization systems involving point clouds, meshes, digital twins, or 3D models.
- Understanding of 3D concepts including coordinate systems, transformations, projections, rendering pipelines, and camera/navigation controls.
- Knowledge of geospatial concepts such as map projections, coordinate reference systems, and spatial data handling is preferred.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools including Jira, TestRail, or equivalent systems.
- Basic knowledge of UI/API automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or related frameworks.
- Understanding of performance testing concepts and validation of rendering-heavy applications.
- Ability to work with large datasets and identify rendering, memory, and performance-related issues.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail for visual, functional, and spatial validation scenarios.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork capabilities.
