Job Title: Continental Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present continental dishes as per standard recipes and quality standards.
- Manage the assigned kitchen section independently during service.
- Ensure proper mise en place and smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
- Train, supervise, and guide Commis chefs and kitchen helpers.
- Monitor stock levels, raise requisitions, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain food cost control.
- Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Coordinate effectively with Sous Chef and other kitchen sections to ensure timely service.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a Continental kitchen, preferably in fine dining or premium restaurants.
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, sauces, grills, steaks, pasta, soups, salads, sandwiches and plating techniques.
- Ability to lead a section independently and mentor junior staff.
- Good understanding of inventory management, food cost and kitchen SOPs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
