Position Overview
The Field Auditor is responsible for verifying group formation, member documentation, loan utilization, repayment monitoring, and compliance with company policies. The role ensures transparency, fraud detection, and portfolio quality assessment through systematic field and process audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Formation Verification
- Verify whether JLG (Joint Liability Group) is formed as per company policy.
- Check number of members (generally 4–10).
- Confirm members belong to the same locality and know each other.
- Member KYC Verification
- Verify Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, or other KYC documents.
- Ensure documents match the loan application and system records.
- Loan Utilization Check
- Confirm whether loan amount is used for the intended purpose (business, agriculture, etc.).
- Conduct physical verification if required.
- Center Meeting Verification
- Check whether regular center meetings are conducted.
- Verify attendance of members and group discipline.
- Repayment Monitoring
- Review repayment history of group members.
- Identify overdue or delinquent cases.
- Field Verification
- Visit borrower residence or business place.
- Confirm member identity and economic activity.
- Policy & Process Compliance
- Ensure branch follows NBFC/MFI policies for loan disbursement and recovery.
- Check whether proper documentation and approvals are completed.
- Fraud / Irregularity Detection
- Identify ghost customers, proxy borrowers, or fake groups.
- Report suspicious transactions or policy violations.
- Portfolio Quality Assessment
- Review PAR (Portfolio at Risk), overdue accounts, and collection efficiency.
- Audit Reporting
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, observations, and risk points.
- Provide corrective recommendations to management.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 1 years of experience in microfinance/NBFC auditing preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field verification.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
