Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management & Compliance
- Manage and improve Food Safety Management Systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP)
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Food Regulations 1985 and JAKIM Halal standards
2. Audit Management
- Lead internal, external, and certification audits (BRCGS)
- Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to closure
3. QC Operations & Lab Management
- Oversee QC lab testing (texture, water activity, microbiology)
- Approve or reject final products
4. Supplier Quality
- Conduct supplier audits
- Manage raw material specifications (flour, fats, seasonings, etc.)
5. Customer & Product Quality
- Handle customer complaints and root cause analysis
- Manage product traceability & mock recall systems
6. Team Leadership
- Train and mentor teams on GMP, hygiene, and CCP monitoring
- Build a strong quality culture across production
Main Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Microbiology / Chemistry
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage
Experience
- 15+ years in food manufacturing QA/QC/QM
- 5–10 years in a managerial role
- Must have experience in FMCG (snacks & biscuits manufacturing)
Certifications & Knowledge
- Certified Internal Auditor (FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000)
- Strong knowledge of:
- BRCGS
- HACCP
- JAKIM Halal Standards
- Malaysian Food Act 1983
Technical Skills
- Hands-on with:
- Moisture analyzers
- Texture analyzers
- Water activity meters
- Microbiological testing (TPC, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Statistical Quality Control (Control Charts)
- Root Cause Analysis (Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint
