Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Successful sourcing, development, and localization of forging, machining, and gear components for farm and automotive applications.
Drive end-to-end component development, including manufacturing feasibility, process validation, and supplier readiness.
Manage new product development activities through APQP, PPAP, design feasibility reviews, and production ramp-up.
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers with a focus on capability, capacity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Recommend and optimize material selection, heat treatment, surface treatment, and manufacturing processes based on application requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of development samples, validation milestones, and seamless handover to SCM for serial production.
Drive cost optimization, quality improvement, and localization initiatives while meeting project timelines and business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to achieve production readiness and sustained supply performance.
Experience
Relevant 10+ experience in sourcing, development, and supplier management of forging, machining, and gear components for the automotive/farm equipment industry.

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering

Strong knowledge of Gear Technology, Forging Processes, Machining Processes, and GD&T.
Experience in APQP, PPAP, Product Development, and Supplier Quality Processes.
Knowledge of material grades, heat treatment, and surface treatment processes.
Exposure to supplier selection, evaluation, localization, and new product development from concept to production handover.
