An Associate/Technical Lead ServiceNow will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and others. This role involves hands-on technical development, integration, and optimization of the platform to meet business and operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Implementation
● Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
● Implement and configure core modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CSM, or GRC as per project
requirements.
● Collaborate with the architecture team to translate business requirements into technical
solutions.
● Build and enhance Service Portal components and UI pages.
● Participate in all phases of the SDLC — from requirement gathering to deployment and
post-implementation support.
Integration & Automation
● Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using
Integration Hub, APIs, or middleware tools.
● Implement automation using Flow Designer, Orchestration, and other ServiceNow
automation capabilities.
● Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data synchronization issues.
Governance & Best Practices
● Follow and promote ServiceNow coding standards, security, and compliance guidelines.
● Ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability through efficient development
practices.
● Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and maintenance while ensuring backward
compatibility.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
● Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Process Owners to understand
requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
● Collaborate with architects and administrators to maintain platform health and data
integrity.
● Mentor junior developers on platform capabilities and best practices.
Performance & Reporting
● Monitor platform performance and provide timely resolutions to incidents and issues.
● Build dashboards and reports to measure usage, performance, and service quality metrics.
Required Skills & Experience:
● 6–9 years of total IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience on the
ServiceNow platform.
● Proven experience implementing and supporting modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CSM, GRC, or
SecOps.
● Strong knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs) and UI development.
● Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Orchestration.
● Understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and platform data model.
● Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4 processes and best practices.
● Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
● ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
● ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM/HRSD/CSM).
● ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
● Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery models.
● Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related integrations.
