A TGT Science teacher teaches science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology basics) to Class 6 to 10 students. The aim is to develop scientific understanding, curiosity, and practical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Classroom Management
Teach topics like physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science
Explain concepts using real-life examples
Maintain discipline and an interactive classroom
2. Lesson Planning
Prepare lesson plans as per CBSE/ICSE/State syllabus
Use experiments, models, and activities
Plan practical and theory sessions
3. Practical & Lab Work
Conduct science experiments and demonstrations
Guide students in lab activities
Ensure safety rules in the laboratory
4. Student Assessment
Take tests, assignments, and practical exams
Check answer sheets and give feedback
Monitor student progress
5. Encourage Scientific Thinking
Promote curiosity and questioning
Organize quizzes, science exhibitions, and projects
Support students in competitions
6. Use of Technology
Use smart boards, videos, and simulations
Prepare digital teaching materials
7. Administrative Work
Maintain attendance and records
Prepare report cards and results
Attend meetings and school activities
