Common Roles & Responsibilities for MIG & ARC Welders
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding process specifications.
- Prepare materials and tools required for welding operations.
- Select appropriate welding equipment, settings, and filler materials for each job.
- Conduct welding operations according to company and industry standards.
- Perform quality checks to ensure welds meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment as needed.
- Inspect and repair welds as required.
- Complete documentation and reports for completed work.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality inspectors.
- Follow work schedules and production targets.
