Job Title: QA Tester / Software Test Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Manual Testing along with hands-on knowledge of modern automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and functional specifications.
- Create, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform comprehensive Manual Testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to resolve quality issues.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation testing framework:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience writing clear and effective test cases and test plans.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with API automation testing.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Performance or load testing experience.
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device testing.
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in Software Testing (Manual and Automation).
