Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical BIM Modeler with 5+ years of experience in Electrical BIM modeling for building projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Revit and have strong knowledge of electrical systems, coordination processes, and BIM standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed BIM models for electrical systems including lighting, power, ELV, containment, grounding, fire alarm, and cable routing.
- Produce accurate drawings such as layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and schedules.
- Coordinate with Architecture, Structure, Mechanical, and Plumbing teams to resolve clashes and maintain model accuracy.
- Review project specifications, perform QA/QC for electrical models, and ensure adherence to BIM execution plans.
- Update and maintain project models throughout all design stages.
- Collaborate with engineers to incorporate design changes efficiently.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical insights.
- Maintain BIM standards, templates, and families relevant to electrical systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Electrical BIM modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks (Manage/Clash Detection).
- Good understanding of electrical design principles and building services.
- Experience in BIM coordination, clash resolution, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Experience in international projects (US/UK/Middle East).
- Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other BIM-related tools.
