The L1 System Administrator will be responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. This role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and reliability of IT infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software applications, and network devices.
Perform regular system updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
Document and track support requests, resolutions, and follow-ups using a ticketing system.
Assist in user account management, including creating, modifying, and disabling accounts.
Ensure security and compliance standards are met by following established protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement improvements.
Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and usage of IT resources.
Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
Familiarity with network concepts, including Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification such as A+, Network+, or equivalent is a plus.
