Job Summary
As an Informatica Support Specialist for the Pharma industry, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational stability of Informatica-based data integration solutions. Your expertise in ITSM processes and monitoring will drive efficient incident resolution and support critical data workflows for pharmaceutical clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for Informatica PowerCenter and related data integration tools, ensuring high availability.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes using ServiceNow, adhering to ITIL frameworks.
- Monitor ETL job executions and data flows using Dynatrace and BigPanda, identifying failures and bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot ETL workflow failures, data quality issues, and integration problems.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to escalate complex issues and coordinate minor fixes.
- Document known issues, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures in Confluence.
- Track support activities in JIRA, ensuring SLA adherence and quality metrics.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic automation using shell scripts and SQL.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for AWS/Azure-related issues affecting Informatica environments.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and incident bridges.
Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data integration support or IT operations, preferably with Informatica tools.
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes and experience with ServiceNow for incident and change management.
- Proficiency with Dynatrace, BigPanda, or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience with JIRA for ticket management and Confluence for knowledge documentation.
- Basic shell scripting and SQL skills for troubleshooting and automation.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Basic understanding of ETL design and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to GenAI technologies and Gemini for AI-assisted operations and automation is a plus.
