Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the organization's day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with statutory and financial regulations. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, payroll compliance, and financial reporting. The candidate must be proficient in Tally Prime and capable of independently handling accounts, statutory filings, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime.
- Prepare and maintain the Day Book, Ledger, Cash Book, Bank Book, Journal Entries, and General Ledger.
- Handle Accounts Payable (Purchase) and Accounts Receivable (Sales) processes.
- Manage purchase entry, purchase filing, invoice verification, and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare and file GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other applicable returns) within statutory deadlines.
- Calculate, deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns accurately and on time.
- Handle EPF and ESIC compliances, including monthly contributions, challan generation, employee registration, and statutory filings.
- Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and reconcile all bank transactions regularly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and other financial statements.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure timely payment of statutory dues and maintain proper documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Support payroll processing by coordinating salary-related accounting entries and statutory deductions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable tax laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- GST
- TDS
- EPF
- ESIC
- Bank Reconciliation
- Purchase & Sales Accounting
- Day Book Maintenance
- Journal Entries
- Ledger Management
- Financial Statements
- Good understanding of Income Tax provisions and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, data analysis, etc.).
- Knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
